This 1915 Gibson F4 Mandolin is a family heirloom that has come to us in search of a new home. Purchased as a gift by the consignee's Father for his Sister likely in the 60s, this instrument is in excellent condition for it's age! This Mandolin has been played, but also very well cared for, and shows some signs of wear across the body and neck that are consistent with it's age. This vintage sunburst is truly spectacular, and accentuates the flamed maple back and sides. Included with purchase is an appraisal of the instrument by George Gruhn circa 2006, and the original gift note from that was inside if the case.

If you are an appreciator of the history of American instruments, this Gibson is a must have for your collection and should be played in the spirit of its longtime owner!
