I feel as though the best place to start will be with an honest reflection on some best practices to educate yourself about the history of the guitar, sound, and gear. My first piece of advice, which should inform everything else from here on out, is to fact check everything! This is including anything I might say from here on, because no matter the source, it is always best to see with your own eyes or to hear with your own ears. My goal is to give you inspirational anecdotes and best practices on how to educate yourself and thus how to best find your own voice!
