Sound Science: Plate Reverb

Plate Reverb is an effect created by sending sound waves across a piece of sheet metal to mimic the naturally occurring sound of a reverberated space. This effect is achieved by using a transducer to send a sound wave across the sheet of metal starting on one end, and recaptured that wave on the other by a contact microphone.
