Fender CS 1962 Jazzmaster "Chicago Special" Deluxe Closet Classic Faded Lavender USED

This Fender Custom Shop 1962 Jazzmaster “Chicago Special” takes an already exceptional Custom Shop Jazzmaster and adds a selection of Black Bobbin upgrades focused on tone, playability, and vintage-inspired aesthetics.

Finished in Faded Lavender with a matching headstock and Fender’s Deluxe Closet Classic aging treatment, the guitar combines a vintage-inspired early-'60s Jazzmaster feel with a carefully selected set of modern upgrades. The alder body is paired with a rift-sawn maple neck and AAA Indian rosewood fingerboard, with a vintage-correct 7.25" radius, 21 medium-vintage frets, and bone nut.

The original pickups have been replaced with a set of Black Bobbin Exclusive Lollar Jazzmaster pickups, delivering the open, articulate response and exceptional clarity we look for in a great Jazzmaster. From warm, dimensional neck sounds to the definition and attack of the bridge pickup, the Lollars retain the unmistakable character of a vintage Jazzmaster while giving the guitar a particularly responsive and musical voice.

A Spitfire tortoise shell pickguard gives the Faded Lavender finish an unmistakable vintage-inspired look, while a Mastery M1 bridge and OMV vibrato upgrade the guitar’s hardware with exceptional stability, sustain, and smooth vibrato performance. Together, the Lollar pickups, Spitfire guard, and Mastery hardware turn an already special Custom Shop Jazzmaster into a distinctly Black Bobbin take on the platform.
