The Rickenbacker 360 is one of the brand’s most iconic models, known for its sleek double-cutaway “Cresting Wave” body shape, signature jangle, and timeless design. This 1980s Fireglo example showcases the craftsmanship and distinct sound that made Rickenbacker a staple for artists from The Byrds and Tom Petty to countless indie rock bands.
The original high gain were upgraded to the more desirable Toaster style pickups. Toaster pickups excel at clean tones, especially with compression, producing the famous “jangle” that became synonymous with 1960s pop and rock. Compared to Hi-Gain pickups, they’re less aggressive but more articulate, making them a favorite for rhythm players and 12-string models.
This guitar is in good shape and shows little signs of play wear across the body and neck. Original hardshell case included
